The 2010 Chevrolet Colorado is the next step in Chevrolet’s long history of smaller trucks. A trend that started back in the 1970’s, Chevrolet began producing this line of truck, formerly known as the LUV, to meet consumer demands from foreign companies that were already importing a newer smaller truck.
From what we have gathered from past trends and the 2009 Chevrolet model, this year will utilize a 5.3 liter V8 engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. This is included in the pre-existing ZQ8 sports package capable of doing 0-60 in less than 7 seconds and can pull 6000lbs. Not bad for a “smaller” truck. Those not looking for that kind of power will more than likely see the 3.7 or 2.9 liter engine in their vehicle. Each various engine size still makes great mileage for a truck, at over 23 MPG.
